Company Profile

2WP International Pty Ltd Company Directors are Annette Pijpstra and Walter Podlesny .
2WP is an Australian company founded in 1977 by Win Pijpstra and Walter Podlesny. Initially supplying the kitchen and household industry, the company grew with many successful products, a number that are still sold today. Expanding to Germany, Singapore and Malaysia in the late '80s and '90s the company experienced a variety of different markets.
One of 2WPs most successful products was "SLURPEX" THE SUPER ABSORBENT P.V.A. CHAMOIS BLOCK and even over 30 years we still sell it the only thing what is wrong with "SLURPEX" it lasts too long.
Over ten years ago 2WP began to focus on hand operated garden tools and since then have become a market leader in innovation and service. The conventional garden cutting tools available were limited in their application, in ease of use, versatility and safety for the body. They relied purely on strength to operate and with the range of wood density available in Australian gardens, their ability could be useless. This affected a lot of gardeners especially with arthritis and wrist affected injuries. Realising that the Australian gardeners pruning demands differ from the rest of the world, there had to be an alternative.
In 1994, 2WP released the Easy-Prune, the first ratchet operated Secateur in Australia. This was due to a large number of our customers having arthritis and struggling in the garden. The ratchet design made an enormous difference for gardeners, taking the pressure out of pruning and at the same time increasing cutting capabilities. The ratchet does the work through a light pumping action.
Working directly with our customers at Shows throughout Australia and New Zealand, 2WP receives continuous feedback and we pride ourselves in fulfilling the range needs of Australian gardeners. Through continuous improvement over the past decade, 2WP have designed a range of ergonomic and extremely easy to use powerful gardening tools.
Service - We look at service from more than one angle. Over the past 8 years our tools have been designed with spares parts. Over that time spares have been readily available by contacting the company, talking to trained staff and not getting lost in a hardware shop. Logging on to the net and ordering parts is now a simple option. We service our tools free of charge from our stands at Shows or for a small charge when posted to us. Spares from our first models are still obtainable. The service and availability of our tools is second to none and we are proud to say so.
